Our staff

Early Years teacher

Hannah Gilchrist is our Early Years teacher and and the Designated Safeguarding Lead for pre-school. She is also a qualified Forest School Practitioner. She has experience of teaching in both the primary and nursery sector and leads our provision and our team of key workers. Together, they work closely with parents to meet the individual needs of the children to ensure they can enjoy all the opportunities available to them at pre-school and start at primary school confident and ‘school ready’.

Early Years Practitioners 

Sharon Wignall is a and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and qualified to Level 4 Childcare. She worked at Countesthorpe Nursery School for 10 years before its relocation to Greenfield Pre-School. She has worked with children from birth to five and has over 25 years’ experience in Early Years. The children are always happy and excited to sing and dance with Sharon, who leads our Active Bean sessions.

Clair Lawlor is qualified to Level 3 Childcare. Clair worked at Countesthorpe Nursery School for 6 years before relocating. She has worked with children from birth to five and has over 25 years’ experience in Early Years. Clair especially enjoys arts and crafts with the children.

Erika Hardy is a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and is qualified to Level 3 Childcare with over 10 years’ experience in Early Years. She has worked with children from birth to five in day nurseries and has experience of Makaton and Sign Language. Erika is leading our use of Early Years Apps on our iPads.

Wendy Holyoake is qualified to Level 3 Childcare and has over 20 years’ experience in Early Years education. She has worked in both pre-school and nursery settings with children from birth to five, with roles as a SENCO and early language lead.

Maxine Wiersin is qualified to Level 3 Children’s Care, Learning and Development.  She is a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and has over 10 years’ experience of working in nurseries, schools and hospitals. She has worked with children from birth to five.

Early Years Assistants

Lacey Atton has a degree in Early Years Childhood Studies and is qualified to Early Years Professional status. She has over 10 years’ experience in Early Years from birth to five in day nurseries and schools.

Donna De'Lima is Level 3 qualified. Donna has worked at Montessori day nursery before becoming a childminder, while her youngest daughter was growing up. She has worked with children from birth to five and has over 20 years experience in Early Years. 

Laura Angus has worked with children in primary and secondary schools with both special needs and mainstream pupils. Laura has also worked with children in a farm setting and particularly enjoys being outside with the children.

Laura Natzel has previously worked in administration and has also been self-employed. She is now enjoying a career change to Early Years and with three children of her own brings lots of experience as a mum.

Pre-school Administrator

Sam Carter runs our office and ensures that we meet all the necessary safeguarding and health and safety requirements under the Early Years Framework. She has worked in  various roles in commercial administration. Sam enjoys getting to know the parents at drop off and collection time and ensures a warm welcome to all our visitors.

All staff undertake continuing professional development, which is completed jointly with Greenfield Primary school. This ensures that the staff apply teaching and learning methods that are consistent with the Foundation Stage at 4+ and prepares the children for a smooth transition to primary school.
